Volunteers help with the shipping of donated machinery

NEW PERSPECTIVES

It's a welcome aspect of our humanitarian work that we, with the help of our patrons and supporters, are able to give a growing generation (after almost 30 years of civil war) a new  perspective on the future.

Vocational training and practice in urgently needed civilian professions is surely one of the most valuable inputs we can give to the young. And later in addition to supporting our mine clearance projects, the skills they acquire will be a real aid to the self determination for the young Angolans, and for the development of the region.

VALUABLE AID

Used tools and machinery, including laser guided welding machines, were donated by German companies. Over many months Wilhem Ehlers, project lead and member of the honorable MgM kuroatorium invested all his energy and world wide connections into launching this ambitious project.

The willingness of people to help was  at times almost overwhelming, In a storage facility in Grefrath at the lower Rhine, multiple shipping containers were filled with metal and wood working machinery, complete tool sets and extensive workshop equipment. The majority of donated goods were indeed 'used', but were fully functional and, compared to those usually available in Angola, so modern as to be state-of-the-art.
